Europe’s primeval forests, a treasure of nature

Hidden in hard-to-reach corners of Europe, the last primeval forests have survived, largely untouched by humans and hardly explored. On an adventurous expedition to the Albanian Alps, scientists analyze such a primary forest – and search for answers as to how the forests of Central Europe can be better protected against climate change in the future.
