A first film from an emerging Myanmar filmmaker, this short documentary unobtrusively observes a group of boat wreckers at work on the banks of the Yangon River in Dala, the final port of call for many old boats. The work is hazardous, back-breaking and pitifully paid. The camera shows how the boat wreckers work furiously tearing up these hulks under a blazing sun, often with their bare hands — a heartbreaking look at exploitation.
